Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my children? What can I expect? These and probably many more questions surface. We want to put you at ease so that your first visit to New Life is refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!” We’ve prepared a few answers to questions you might have about what to expect on your first visit.
• What's available for my children?
Starting with excellent childcare, there is something special for children of all ages from birth through high-school! At each of our services, there is safe, clean and well-staffed nursery for children – newborn to age four. On Sunday morning, for children five years old through 6th grade, there are age specific fun, friendly and Bible-centered children's churches. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make learning the Bible exciting and memorable for your child. We have a program on Wednesday evenings at 7 for children five years old up to 6th grade
• How will I find nurseries, classes and services?
We would like to help you find the appropriate nursery, classes and service for every person in your family. Our CARE Team members are located around the building and at each entrance and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place. Each CARE Team member is easily identifiable with a white CARE Team name tag.
• Do you offer small groups or classes?
Yes! Each week we have our organized Adult Bible Study which we call Growth Group Electives. These are smaller group settings designed to connect you with Christ, God's Word, and with other people in your life stage. The best way to get to know people here at New Life Baptist Church is to visit one of these Groups. We have groups for Adults, Young Adults, Senior Adults, Teens, and Children of all ages. Our Teen Growth Group meets on Sunday Evenings during the evening worship service. Our Young Adults, Adults, and Children meet on Wednesday Evening and our Senior Adults meet on Thursday morning.
• What are the services like?
On Sunday mornings and evenings, you can participate in encouraging and uplifting music, as well as enjoy inspiring music from soloists and special groups. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful and challenging Bible message. Each service is just over one hour in length. During our morning service, we have a few special "Children's Churches" for children from K-4 through the 6th grade. This is a fun time where the kids sing songs, play Bible games and learn the exciting truths of God’s Word. On Sunday evenings we will meet at 6:00 p.m. for Bible Study and prayer groups. We also offer growth groups throughout the week.
• How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at New Life Baptist Church for members or guests. When attending, you’ll see people wearing a variety of styles – from "business casual" to “Sunday best” to jeans. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome as a guest at New Life.
• Am I required to give an offering?
No. We don't invite you to New Life for your offering. We want each service to be our gift to you. We hope you will find a warm family spirit, truth preached from God's Word and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
